Hi, I'd like to give you a little insight into who I am and why I'm so passionate about all things fibre!  My name is Poppy and I am self-taught in knitting and crochet, having decided to 'have a go' during lockdown.

I was studying Art & Design at college when lockdown happened.  It was a developmental time for me getting used to online learning techniques.

I had chosen to specialise in Textiles and I had to be inventive and creative using what materials were available to me in the home, as getting a hold of supplies was not that easy in the early stages. However, as there was a supply of yarn available to me, I chose to teach myself to knit and crochet with the help of online tutorials and utilised this new skill within my textile studies.

The rest they say is history, as my keen

interest in knitting and designing evolved, at a great rate!  

I love to research too, which aids my

own understanding and personal development.

 

 I am a firm believer in 'slow fashion' even though my family call me a 'speed knitter' and I love creating garments using natural and sustainable fibres,

My current favourite fibres to work with are organic cottons and sustainably sourced wool.
